Expert Zhang Hongxiu’s Biography The patent inventor of “Glyphosate soluble solid form”(patent numberZL97107058·X), Mr. Zhang Hongxiu, male, was born in Taixing, Jiangsu province in March 1940. He graduated in college, and is a senior engineer. He once taught in Nantong Academy of Medical sciences, and then took charge in government and venture. In the early 1990s’, he started to research the production and application of agriculture chemical adjuvant, and successfully developed the SD&SDP (natural adjuvant of surface-active agent extracted from plants), and got “New Product of China” and “Jiangsu Hi-tech Product” as honour. This series product can be widely used in various forms of pesticides, and the effect is notable. No toxicity, minimum pollution, no remains and has the function of protecting from rain. At the same time, he started the research of Glyphosate producing innovation. After countless failures, he successfully researched “Glyphosate SP” in 1997, and registered in the same year. In 2001, he got《Invention Patent Certificate》. The physical method of this patent is much more ascendant than traditional chemical method, whatever the efficacy, toxicity and environment protection. Experts on plant protection of China identified this product as “initiated for the mixture between glyphosate and high effective adjuvant from plants, solving the problem that the glyphosate was hard to dissolve in water, avoiding the use of matters, which are toxicity, easy to explode and burn”, “The product is in the lead in the world”. Mr. Zhang Hongxiu successfully researched two hi-tech products in 2002. One is 98% high-purity Glyphosate ammonia salt. This product can dissolve in water completely; users can use it to make various soluble and wet forms by mixture with some adjuvant, without any chemical reaction. So, it makes the producing and compounding processes very easy. It was regarded as “International Advanced” in scientific and technological appraisal, in August 7th, 2002, it declared invention patent, and the State Intellectual Property Office approved and issued《Patent Application Accept Notice》(Patent application number:02138099.6) on August 12th, 2002. Another new product is 88.8% Glyposate ammomia salt soluble granular. It has the highest content in the world. It was appraised “International Advanced” in technological achievements appraisal. On August 7th, 2002, it also declared invention patent, and on August 12th, 2002, the State Intellectual Property Office approved and issued《Patent Application Accept Notice》(Patent application number:02138098.8). Above two patent applications are at stage of actual inspection. All walks of life have paid attention to Mr. Zhang because of his great contribution. His deeds have been included in 《National Flower》and 《Contemporary Chinese Outstanding Scientific and Technological Experts》, and written into large-scale document《Theories and Practices of Three Representatives》. His invention was awarded golden medal by Hong Kong International New Technology and Products Fair, London International Science and Products Fair and Geneva International Patent Technology Achievements Fair twice. He got the second prize of patent technology invention by State Bureau of Petroleum and Chemical Industries, and excellent prize of the Eighth China Patent Praise by State Intellectual Property Office. He is the member of the International Patent Affairs Appraise Committee, and Geneva Global Inventors-Commission, lifelong member of Beijing China Science Originate Applied Technique Institute, Senior researcher of London Applied Technique Academy, Academician of Hong Kong International Academy of Sciences. China Patriotic Construction Federation awarded him the title of “Patriotic Star” and “Patriotic Entrepreneur”.
